“Good Boy” is a collection of seven individual works, each represented by the seven sins of pride, lust, anger, greed, gluttony, envy, and sloth and are interpreted through the perspective of dogs.

The series explores and glamorizes darker sides of human nature, introducing self awareness with a playful delivery.

Good Boy: Pride, 2022 Graphite with Digital Color on 8.5 X 11 Inch Paper A dalmatian proud of their collection of rubber duckies. The primary color palette calls to the primal need of being noticed and praised. Good Boy: Lust, 2022 Graphite with Digital Color on 11 X 8.5 Inch Paper The colors pink and blue were utilized to be symbols of the limited perspective towards gender and sex, honing in on the emotion of lust. The bones and blue tennis balls call to masculine stereotypes, while the poodle calls to feminine stereotypes. Good Boy: Anger, 2022 Graphite with Digital Color on 8.5 X 11 Inch Paper A centered and cyclical composition is used to set a tone of unease. Surrounding the fire hydrant with vicious dogs shows common feelings of territory within animals. Good Boy: Greed, 2022 Graphite with Digital Color on 11 X 8.5 Inch Paper From multiple green tennis balls, this piece demonstrates a dog’s level of selfishness, drowning in its own greed. Good Boy: Gluttony, 2022 Graphite with Digital Color on 8.5 X 11 Inch Paper Gluttony is exhibited with a stack of steaks piled in front of a pot bellied bulldog. The limited red and yellow color palette ropes in color psychology and the persuasive tones it creates regarding hunger. Good Boy: Envy, 2023 Graphite with Digital Color on 8.5 X 11 Inch Paper Hierarchy and position are used to create two different sides of envy. One passive, envious of the dog in the foreground. One determined, envious of the viewer. Good Boy: Sloth, 2023 Graphite with Digital Color on 11 X 8.5 Inch Paper Blue is paired with a sleepy, drooling dog to create a calming, yet lazy mood. Rather than counting sheep, the dog counts sprinting dogs."
